MINDFULNESS | Sloane Angell, Los Angeles

Angell has produced custom pieces for the likes of

Lenny Kravitz, Erica Badu and Phillip Lim and collaborated with restaurants like Elephanté, MacArthur Place and Sonoma.

Angell worked alongside established potter Mirena Kim in Los Angeles, before accepting the opportunity of a lifetime, to work under master potter Akio Nukaga in Kasama, Japan. Angell was the first, and remains the only, American to have ever worked alongside Nukaga.

For Angell, ceramics are a reminder of the passing of time.  Angell's pieces command attention - they force the viewer to be present in a state of MINDFULNESS.
